The Knapp’s Centre adapts the historic Knapp’s department store as a mixed-use facility that creates a vibrant hub in the heart of downtown Lansing.  Restaurants at the first floor will generate a welcome destination for pedestrians.  At the upper floors office suites for established businesses and an incubator for new and experimental enterprises are organized around a new sky lit atrium.  The top floor and penthouse floor will provide urban lofts with private outdoor patios overlooking the downtown.  The project restores this unique Moderne landmark, returning it to its role as a local landmark.
