Renovations at LCC East are complete!

Renovations to 2827 Eyde Parkway are complete – just in time for classes to start for Lansing Community College East Campus.  Students arriving for classes on the first day of the semester were greeted by brand new flooring throughout the building. 

The existing carpeting wasn’t keeping up with the increase in enrollment that LCC East has seen since it has moved into the Eyde Parkway space.  New ceramic tile was installed throughout the common area hallway that is better able to handle the increased foot traffic.  New carpet tiles were installed in the classrooms and offices as well.

It’s that time of the year again, and the Eyde Company golf outing is quickly approaching.  This year, the outing is benefitting the Chi Heart and Surgery Center and the Tri-County Office on Aging Meals on Wheels Program. 

The outing is scheduled for Monday, July 25th and will take place at the Lansing Country Club.  The cost this year is $150 per golfer.

Knapp’s Centre hosts the 2011 State of the City Address

The Knapp’s Centre in downtown Lansing was on full display January 24th when Mayor Virg Bernero held the annual State of the City Address in the historic building.  The focus of the mayor’s speech was growth and renewal of the City of Lansing, making the Knapp’s building the perfect location for the speech, as plans are currently being made to turn the building into a thriving business hub with upscale residential space. 

The Knapp’s Centre is located at the southwest corner of Washington Square and Washtenaw Avenue.  The building started out as the J.W. Knapp’s Department Store, built in 1937 and expanded in 1948.  The department store closed its doors in 1980.  In 1982, the building was purchased by the Eyde Company and converted to office space for several tenants, including the State of Michigan.  The State vacated the premises in 2002 and the building has stood vacant since. 

The proposed plans call for the first floor to be occupied by retail or restaurant space with the second, third and fourth floors and mezzanine level holding Class A commercial office space.  To allow for more natural light, the plans propose an atrium in the center of the building.  The fifth floor will house high-end, one and two bedroom apartments or condominiums.  Each residential unit will have their own outdoor space.  Plans also include underground parking for the residential tenants.

The construction on the renovation of the Knapp’s Centre is slated to begin in 2011 and last through 2013.

Permits go on sale Monday, August 30th at 8:00 a.m. at the Eyde Company office.  The office is located at 4660 S. Hagadorn, Suite 660, East Lansing.  Our building is the large 6-story, blue neon building at the corner of Hagadorn Road and Service Road/Hannah Boulevard.

The cost for the permits this year is $160 for a year pass and $100 for a semester pass.  Permits can be purchased with CASH ONLY.  No checks or credit/debit cards.

For our apartment residents who have been guaranteed a parking permit, a letter will be sent to you this week with the information you need to pick up your pass.

Lansing Mi Realtor, Eyde Company Golf Outing is Next Week!

The annual Eyde Company Golf Outing is being held on Monday, July 26th at the Lansing Country Club.  A total of 22 teams are expected to participate in the event which benefits the Chi Heart & Surgery Center at Ingham Regional Medical Center. 

This year we are again planning a silent auction for participants to take part in.  Auction items have been donated from a variety of local companies. 

Last year’s event for the Lansing MI Realtor raised more than $9,000 with 25 teams taking part in.

The Eyde Company is pleased to announce a lease renewal for January at our Southwind Office Park.  Regional Emergency Medical Service has renewed their Lansing office space lease for an additional year.  Southwind Office Park is located near the corner of Holmes Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. 

Regional Emergency Medical Service is a Michigan based not-for-profit ambulance transport service, providing both emergency and non-emergency transport to those in Flint and Lansing as well as other surrounding communities.  Their mission is “to deliver the highest quality of pre-hospital and medical transport services to our clients with rapid response and efficiency in a caring, professional manner.”  Regional EMS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services and their personnel are licensed through the State of Michigan.

Bamboo House Restaurant Expands Commercial Real Estate in Michigan

The Eyde Company is proud to announce the expansion of the Bamboo House Restaurant in the Gull Crossing plaza in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  Gull Crossing is located at 5280 Gull Road, near the corner of Gull Road and Sprinkle Road. 

The Bamboo House is a family-owned Chinese restaurant and buffet, specializing in authentic Chinese dishes.  The restaurant is expanding from 4,000 square feet to nearly 6,000 square feet and adding more seating and new restrooms.  Along with the dining area expansion, the buffet area will grow to allow for more food options. 

In order to accomplish this expansion, the Bamboo House will close the commercial real estate in michigan down for several months while the construction takes place.  It is set to re-open this spring.

Renovations open to great reviews at Eyde Corporate headquarters

The building renovation is complete and the public is applauding a new, fresh look at the realtors of Lansing, Eyde Company corporate headquarters, located in the Hannah Research Technology Center (HRTC) at 4660 S. Hagadorn, directly across from the Michigan State University campus in East Lansing, Michigan. 

“Everyone tells us the renovations look terrific,” said Jim Rundell, Vice President of Property Management for the Eyde Company. “We have made a substantial investment in all our renovation work in this building, and there is tremendous value added to the property for our tenants.”

All common areas in the building have been updated.  We have added new porcelain tile throughout the first floor and replaced old brass “bands” in the main floor atrium with new maple accents.  The hallways on floors two through six were updated to give a more comfortable, richer feeling to the building with new carpet and warm paint colors along with maple chair rails. 

New stainless steel elevator doors and new upscale interior panels in the elevator cabs make riding up and down in the six-story structure a pleasure.  Granite tiles around the elevators help share a successful, prosperous look to all lobby areas.

All floors in the building also have new spectacular lighting fixtures in the elevator lobbies.  Restrooms have been completely updated with new flooring, wallcovering, granite counters and under-mount solid surface sinks.

The annual Eyde Company tenant picnic is being held August 13th in the HTRC parking lot.  Food and beverages will be provided.

The tenant picnic is an annual event that the Eyde Company, the top realtors of Lansing, holds to thank our tenants for continued patronage with us.  We appreciate that they chose us to be their landlord and this is our chance to give something back

Lansing MI Realtor, Eyde Company Golf Outing was a Success

Lansing MI Realtor, The Eyde Company Golf Outing to benefit the Chi Heart & Surgery Center at Ingham Regional Medical Center and the Tri-County Office on Aging Meals-on-Wheels Program was held on July 27th at the Lansing Country Club.   We had 25 teams of golfers participate this year and rose approximately $9,300 for our causes.

Along with the golf outing, we planned a silent auction for participants to take part in.  The silent auction contained many great items donated from a variety of companies in the area.

We would like to thank all the golfers, sponsors and volunteers who made this golf outing the best yet.

Work begins on our Corporate Headquarters Lobby Renovation for Michigan Real Estate Company

Work began today on the lobby renovation for Michigan Real Estate Company, Eyde Corporate Headquarters building in East Lansing, Michigan. We are updating all of the common area lobbies as well as the restrooms and elevators.  Along with new porcelain tile throughout the first floor, we are replacing the brass “bands” in the atrium with maple and adding maple panels and granite tiles around the elevators.  New stainless steel elevator doors and new interior panels in the elevator cabs are the finishing touches on the first floor.

The remainder of the floors will receive new carpet, paint, wallpaper and maple chair rail.  All floors will also have new lighting fixtures in the elevator lobbies.  The restrooms are being updated with new flooring, wallcovering, granite counters and under-mount, solid surface sinks, as well as new lighting and accessories.

Work on the lobbies is expected to take three months, while work on the restrooms will be done in phases and will take a little longer.

We want to thank our tenants for putting up with the noise and dust as our building is updated.  We hope our tenants will be as excited about the finished product as we are.
