Our History
The Eyde Company began with two brothers working together with their father selling chickens and produce from their garden. Gaining business skills and a strong work ethic, George and Lou Eyde learned how to make smart and successful business decisions. Both their mother and father instilled in them the value of education at an early age.
Lou graduated from Michigan State University in 1955 and went on to attend the Detroit College of Law and serve in the U.S. Navy. George also attended Michigan State University, was a member of MSU's 1955 National Championship football team and served in the National Guard. The brothers formed their partnership in 1958 and have grown their business into one of the largest land development and building companies in Michigan.
